Job Description

Financial Controller Redcar Permanent£49,243 - £52,599Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Financial Controller to join a large not for profit organisation in Redcar. This is a permanent role.The overall purpose of the Financial Controller will be to support the Head of Finance and CFO as necessary and produce key financial documents (annual budgets; board and committee reports; business plan; assets strategy; annual accounts). The FinancialController will be a visible and effective leader, demonstrating and embedding a coaching style of leadership.Some responsibilities of the Finance Controller will include:

  • Maintain all financial and system data integrity, completeness and controls across finance
  • Assist in the preparation the groups annual Business Plan and update through the year for development and other investment activity
  • Monitor and report on the financial capacity of the Business Plan identifying future funding requirements
  • Working with the Capital Accountant, ensure annual update development appraisal standard assumptions, and monitor scheme financial appraisals and the broader development programme
  • Assist in the preparation of the companys capital and revenue budgets
  • Assist in the production of all financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to the board, senior management and funders
  • Assist the Head of Finance with the maintenance and update of the Financial Regulations
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have all round accountancy experience across year end accounts, income, expenditure, treasury and balance sheet
  • Hold a Professional Accountancy Qualification
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to competing deadlines
  • Be able to undertake detailed analysis and understand detailed information drawing meaningful conclusions and advising senior management of outcomes/actions
