Our Client, a leading car manufacturer are currently looking for a General Manager to join their business based out of their Lexus Reading Retail Centre.As a General Manager, you will be in charge of every area of the Retail Centre and ensuring all manufacture targets are met. Friendly, professional and forward-thinking, youll inspire your team to make every customers experience at the dealership exceptional.Naturally confident, with a wealth of experience you will have strong leadership skills and have the ability to implement change to take the dealership to new heights.In this role you will be expected to develop and increase profitability at the site. The objective is to set out a clear vision and direction for the business, ensuring volumes and profit opportunities are maximised by achieving all of the Centres key KPIs,whilst looking to create excellent guest experience by adopting a Customer first philosophy at the centre.About the role of General Manager* Monitor the daily financial performance of all Departments and take corrective action when needed* Manage team performance and achieve key targets and deliver continuous improvement* Work with all of the Department Managers developing strategies to achieve short and long term objectives* Develop and operate advertising and promotional activities alongside the Sales and Service Department marketing plan* Review the costs and effectiveness of marketing spend regularly for the Dealership* Complete quarterly accounts reviews with the Department Managers* Manage and review the working capital for the Centre i.e. ensuring debtors & creditors are managed effectively and keeping within your working capital budget guidelines* Feed information to the team keeping them aware of day-to-day running aims, future plans, processes, systems and policies for a customer focused environment* Present at internal meetings, providing updates to Senior Management on the Department performance, target results and future plans* Ensure the team follows the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) standards so all finance products that are sold meet the guidelines* Review and comply with the manufacturers standards* Maintain appropriate staff levels to manage the Dealership effectively including weekly rota and holiday to minimise department impact* To forge and cascade a Guest first philosophy/culture within the businessTo be a General Manager* You must be a time-served General Sales Manager or an experienced General Manager* Be a confident and enthusiastic person with the drive to succeed* Have excellent interpersonal skills both with customers and staff* Be forward-thinking and deliver positive change* Be able to motivate every type of person & ensure a team focused environmentAbout the Company* Excellent basic salary and bonus scheme* Competitive benefits package, including pension, private healthcare, and car scheme* Manufacturer based training* Fuel Card* Initiative company that drives change within the Automotive sectorAbout Our ClientOur client is one of the leading Automotive companies in the UK specialising in Japanese brands, they currently employ over 500 people across 11 retail centres and are looking to expand even further.Whats NextIf youre looking for a General Manager role within a business that promotes positive change and development, then this is the role for you.
