Job Description

Mobile Device Services Business Development ManagerJob DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has become available within Academia Technology Group, the successful candidate will be working directly with one of the companies within the group. Charterhouse Muller (CHM) are seeking a Mobile Device Services Business Development Manager.The Mobile Device Services Business Development Managerwill work closely with the Head of Sales within CHM. Your role will involve actively communicating with potential new customers, managing I.T end of life projects within I.T Infrastructure, Public &Private sector businesses. The CHM headquarters are located in Reading, you will be required to report to the Reading office on a weekly basis, specifically for an 08h30 start daily until 17h00 on days to be agreed. The successful candidate will be requiredto complete a satisfactory DBS certificate.You will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities;

  • Meeting your growth targets in conjunction with support from the Head of Sales.
  • Selling and negotiating the buyback of mobile devices including cellular phones, tablets, and smart devices.
  • Working with our telecoms partners for achieving the best buy back/sales opportunities of mobile devices.
  • Expanding the mobile device services offered by CHM.
  • Contacting new potential customers daily, establishing their compliance and specific I.T disposal & remarketing needs and acquiring the business via professional negotiation
  • Assisting the tailoring our ITAD offering to different end users depending on their requirements - ensuring each client is dealt with in the best manner for them, in a transparent and professional manner.
  • Provide input into developing our ITAD offering in various locations that we operate in and ensuring all necessary frontline staff can convincingly & accurately explain these to clients
  • Have a good overview on incoming sales, product and equipment and communicating effectively with our operations & commercial staff to ensure we can process and remarket equipment within a timely manner.
  • Lead senior operational and commercial staff by setting example and setting expectations on the quality of work.
Key Skills:
  • Understanding of IT equipment, data centre equipment and related peripherals.
  • Previous experience of working within an End of Life I.T Asset Management Company
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the mobile phone, tablet, and smart device marketplace.
  • Clear and Professional communication with customers and fellow workers.
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for the idea of a circular economy.
  • Familiarisation and understanding of ITAD accreditations. E.G. ADISA
