Job Description

Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Office 365 or Citrix)Basildon, Essex£50,000 - £55,000 + PackageOur client is looking to expand their Infrastructure operations and due to this now require a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to provide efficient, high-quality 3rd line support to internal and external customers. To be responsible for the management and operation of the companys infrastructure and virtual desktop environments such as Citrix, Terminal Services and Windows Virtual Desktop.Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, managing and implementing Infrastructure and infrastructure services including:
  • Cloud directories and servers
  • Windows server and desktop
  • Databases such as Microsoft SQL & AzureSQL
  • Monitoring, managing and implementing Office 365 product suite infrastructure services including:
  • AzureAD
  • Full Microsoft Office suite E5
  • Teams - SharePoint, Groups, Telephony
  • PowerApps / Flow
  • Intune Mobile Device Management
  • PowerShell
  • OneDrive
  • Dealing with employees from all levels in helping the support team in resolving issues
  • Designing and Migrating group companies onto the companys infrastructure
  • Call logging and Ticket management, including but not limited to:
  • Assisting with Self-service and FAQ maintenance
  • Logging tickets and reporting on ticket status as appropriate
  • Managing issues from origin to completion
  • Providing feedback to users on the status of tickets and requests
  • Working with Azure hosting provider to deliver services
  • Dealing with third parties and suppliers relating to infrastructure
  • Assisting with office moves such as equipment relocation and connectivity
  • Assist in the delivery of IT projects
  • Training and mentoring new service desk agents to support users and use of various internal systems and applications
  • University graduate with computer science related qualification or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in an Infrastructure engineer role
  • Experience in managing an Office 365 infrastructure from an installation and infrastructure standpoint
  • Microsoft Technologies: Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 (Standard and Data Centre); MS SQL; Active Directory; Azure Infrastructure as a Service, Azure Site Recovery Services; Multi Factor Authentication; Remote Desktop Services; O365 AD Integration
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Technologies: Azure & AWS
  • Hands-on technical depth knowledge enabling direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting
  • Willingness to work additional hours, sometimes outside of standard office hours, if department needs dictate
  • Accurate/strong attention to detail
  • Good with people, keen to learn
