Job Description

Do you have experience within a managerial Logistics roleAdecco are proud to be working with a well-established company who are seeking a Logistics Manager to join their expanding team.Responsibilities/ Duties

  • Managing the goods in and goods out teams within a busy warehouse
  • Overseeing the Goods-In Supervisor and working with them to drive the team
  • Ensuring service levels are met, in line with set processes
  • Liaising closely with all teams in the business to ensure shipped items are delivered on time and within budget
  • Identifying, resolving and escalating issues affecting the team or its processes
  • Liaising and negotiating with shipping companies to monitor cost and performance
  • Using and updating an online tasking system to help with a more efficient work flow
  • Ensuring the warehouse is organised so stock is stored effectively, maximising use of space and the ability to easily locate items for pickers
    • Skills
  • Strong experience in managing a busy warehouse, as well as goods-in and logistics is essential
  • Capable of successfully managing and motivating a team
  • Confident decision-maker with strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Adaptable and flexible to change
  • Proactive, with strong time management and organisation skills
  • Good problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
