Job Description

Howdens are looking for a highly creative and skilled Midweight Graphic Designer to work on a diverse range of design projects and disciplines including brochures, campaigns, point of sale, local marketing, events, and logo design. This Midweight GraphicDesigner role is full-time and permanent with a blend of home and office work based in our Raunds office in Northamptonshire. This is a great opportunity for you to play a key role in our expanding design and marketing team, creating customer demand throughworld-class brand execution as part of the UKs number-one Trade Kitchen Supplier.What will I be doing as a Midweight Graphic Designer

  • Producing and delivering strategic creative design concepts to marketing briefs
  • Working alongside the Senior Designer, you will develop strategy, brainstorm ideas, and produce designs and concepts across brand, print, campaigns, and events
  • In partnership with the Creative Lead and Senior Designer you will be supporting projects while also working on individual briefs
  • Working on a diverse range of design projects and disciplines, brochures, campaigns, point of sale, local marketing, events, logo design, and internal PowerPoint presentations
What do I need to qualify for this role
  • Demonstrable experience working as a Graphic Designer
  • Experience in a wide range of design, specifically, campaigns, brochures, POS, local marketing, logos, and events as well as other printed media
  • Highly creative, able to interpret briefs and deliver strategic concepts and design responses with a well thought out design rationale
  • Excellent knowledge of the print process and print finishes and are confident in creating print-ready artwork
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Knowledge of the Adobe suite and Apple Mac proficient
  • Exceptional presentation skills and enjoy presenting concepts and developing your ideas through various print-based materials, as well as digital assets.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent layout skills.
  • Confident and articulate in bringing fresh ideas and brainstorming
  • Organised, able to prioritise daily workload and manage multiple projects
  • Takes ownership of workload and can deliver projects to tight deadlines
  • Youll have a portfolio demonstrating your strong design concepts ideas, layout, typography, and the ability to demonstrate your design thought process
