Job Description

Our care home in Quorn will offer fully personalised care in a luxurious setting.When our home opens on Farley Way in Quorn in September 2020, it will offer high quality round-the-clock care services, including residential and nursing care, short stays, plus expert dementia care. Our team will be able to care for residents at every stage of their care journey.Our Quorn care home will offer spacious, fully furnished bedrooms, each with its own en-suite wet room. Residents will be welcome to personalise their roomhowever they wish. Some ground floor bedrooms will even open onto our landscaped gardens and have their own patio area. The home will also have its own contemporary café, cinema and hair and beauty salon, so there will be plenty to do, come rain or shine.The care home will be divided into different suites - collections of bedrooms with a dining room and lounge. Creating smaller communities in the home makes it easier for residents to get to know each other, and it keeps hustle and bustle to a minimum, which helps residents who are living with dementia. Do you have the same sort of attributesWhat you’ll be doingBeing a Lifestyle Coordinator is about creating, organising and communicating a varied programme of activities for residents. It’s also about empowering each resident individually, assisting them with their ability to participate and enabling them to achieve their goals. You’ll do this by spending quality time with residents and their families in order to gain a full understanding of their interests and aspirations. Meaningful activity is the result and the responsibility of all colleagues input, so you’ll work closely with the team to involve everyone in the home and make this successful. A real difference.What you’ll needSome relevant experience is essential, as is the ability to compile social care plans for residents and maintain confidentiality. We’ll also be looking for excellent interpersonal skills and a flair for prioritising a busy workload. Someone who’s able to retain information and carry out instructions accurately, keeping accurate written records is important too.
