Job Description

L3 SEN Teaching AssistantHourly rate:£10.70 - £11.50 per hourThe Aurora Group: The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with specialeducational needs and disabilities.Our Aurora Eccles School in Quidenham, Norwich are looking for Teaching Assistants.Aurora Eccles School provides flexible day placements for students aged 11 to 16 years with communication and associated difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrumor have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.The Role:The purpose of the Teaching Assistant is to support the children with their learning and care whilst in school and other settings.As well as developing and deliveringpersonalised learning, you will work with colleagues to support pupils with their daily routines, transitions and positive behaviour management.Atailored approach to the individual child ensures that every student has the opportunity to reach their fullpotential in a caring and safe environment. The Teaching Assistant will need to support the Class Teacher with the day to day running of the class.This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career whilst you help shape and develop our provision to achievethis.

  • GCSE Maths and English qualification Grade 4 or above or equivalent is essential.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD.
Due to the location of the school, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
