Job Description

L3 SEN Teaching AssistantHourly rate:£12.20 - £12.88 per hourAurora Eccles School:Part of the Aurora Group, Aurora Eccles School in Quidenham, Norwich are looking for Level 3Teaching Assistants.The school provides day placements for students aged 11 to 16 years primarily with communication and interaction difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on theautistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.To take a virtual look around our school please click here: Eccles Virtual TourThe Role:The purpose of the Teaching Assistant is to support the childrenwith their learning and care whilst in school and other settings.As well as developing and delivering personalised learning, you will work with colleagues to support pupils with their daily routines, transitions and positive behaviour management.Atailoredapproach to the individual child ensures that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment. The Teaching Assistant will need to support the Class Teacher with the day to day running of the class.This isan exciting opportunity to develop your career whilst you help shape and develop our provision to achieve this.

  • GCSE Maths and English qualification Grade 4 or above or equivalent is essential.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD.
