Job Description

Cleaning SupervisorContract Type:Permanent, 40 weeks per yearAurora White House School and Aurora Eccles SchoolPart of the Aurora Group, Aurora White House School and Aurora Eccles School in Quidenham,Norwich are looking foraCleaning Supervisor to join our team.The schoolsprovide day placements for students aged 6 to 16 years primarily with communication and interaction difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.To take a virtual look around the schools please click here:Eccles Virtual TourMain Purpose of the Role:The role of the Cleaning Supervisoris principally to ensure the school is cleaned to a consistently high standard by effective supervision and management of, and delegation to, the wider cleaning team. Thus providing a welcoming environment.The support services teams are an essential pillarin enabling the children and young adults to achieve their full potential.Key Duties:Please note that duties will vary and you must expect to lend a hand wherever is required.   • Significant experience in a cleaning role, or a similar role in which hygiene standards need to be maintained.
  • Previous experience of leading and managing a team is desirable.
  • Experience of using equipment and materials in situations where care is needed to prevent harm to others.
  • Key aspects of Health and Safety legislation for cleaning
Requirements:
  • The role will require some lone working and physical work.
  • To work effectively in situations where several tasks need doing in a short timescale and needs may change at short notice.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level.
  • Ability to prioritise work.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • The ability to work both alone and within a team to achieve specified standards.
  • Be flexible to changing demands of the post.
  • Take pride in a job well done.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students and staff whilst working in a busy environment to promote a friendly environment.
