The learning environment and facilities here allow students to access a varied curriculum in a calm and nurturing environment and the team strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve their full potential.Totake a virtual look around our school please click here: Eccles Virtual TourThe role:Your role will be Ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals within budget and to the required standards, adhering to any specificdietary requirements of the student. At all times operate in a way that ensures the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and catering equipment/utensils is of the highest standardExperience:Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:

  • A professional catering qualification or significant relevant industry experience
  • Experience working in a reactive catering environment with multiple and complex dietary requirements.
  • Experience of planning and preparing menus to ensure balanced, healthy eating and variety.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislation (including COSHH regulations, manual handling and food hygiene procedures) and requirements in relation to food preparation.
  • Experience of maintaining a kitchen store of fresh, frozen and ambient foodstuffs
  • Experienced in carrying regular equipment/maintenance check and recording as and when required
  • Possess good working knowledge of kitchen equipment and cleaning schedules.
  • Able to work proactively and in a self-directed / self-sufficient way.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and at times other stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to working as part of a team and ability to give and receive direction as appropriate.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and work flexibly as appropriate
  • Committed to promoting the health, welfare and safeguarding of children and young adults
Due to the location of the school, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
