Job Description

The Aurora GroupThe Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.We are currently looking for a Catering Assistant inQuidenham, Norwichfor ourEcclesSchoolOur school provides support for children with a variety of additional needs but primarily young people with autism spectrum disorders and social, emotional and mental health challenges. The learning environment and facilities here allow studentsto access a varied curriculum in a calm and nurturing environment and the team strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve their full potential.The role:Your role will be to assist within the catering department of the site by ensuring that all food is prepared to an excellent standard and that Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times. With a strong emphasis on Health& Safety, youll be expected to ensure that the catering areas are kept clean and tidy and that our food service is delivered in a professional, friendly and hygienic manner. You will undertake tasks assigned to you in regards to basic food preparation, cleaning,serving, completion of health and safety paperwork.Experience:Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:

  • Catering experience.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Experience of SEND students.
  • Willingness to undertake compulsory trainingincluding Health and Safety and COSHH.
  • Reasonable level of literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
  • Organised, motivated, ability to prioritise and a team player.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
