Mechanical Design EngineerNewport£28,000 -£32,000 + BenefitsThis well-established engineering business manufactures high quality bespoke engineered products, and is part of a successful global organisation who have supplied a broad range of industries for the last 60 years. As a result of continued growth a new opportunityhas been created for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an experienced team in a role with that will develop your expertise in a number of valuable aspects of mechanical design.This is what youll be doingYoull play a key role in realising products in line with customer specifications and quality standards, developing viable, cost effective and reliable mechanical designs from concept to production. The role will include:

3D and 2D modelling
BOM and mechanical drawing generation
Design FMEA
Supporting design/manufacturing problem solving through production/test

The experience youll bring to the team

Educated to degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in a mechanical discipline
3D and 2D CAD
Mathematical skills
