Documentation EngineerLocation: Newport Permanent ContractSalary: Competitive PackageWe are currently recruiting for a Documentation Engineer for a lead manufacturing company in Newport, South Wales General Purpose of role:* To process and control customer documentation requirements in accordance with the Supplier Document Requirements Lists (SDRLs)* To review and control incoming certification against customer requirements. Generate final valve certificate packs to accompany product at dispatch* Maintenance of compliance with ISO 9001: 2008 and 97/23/EC Pressure Equipment DirectiveMain Responsibilities:* Review customer orders for Supplier Document Requirement Lists (SDRLs)* Generate document lists based on the SDRL* Process customer documentation through to approval* Facilitate document revisions and amendments in line with customer feedback* Maintain the SDRL system to ensure it is continually up to date* Complete project documentation dossier* Generate certification packs for valves and spares kitsOther Activities:* Conduct internal audits in line with ISO QMS system requirements* Administrate customer complaint process and databaseOutcomes of Role:* All documents to be submitted two weeks from processing the SDRL* Documents to be submitted in accordance with the customer SDRL requirements from date of order* All SDRL documents to be approved prior to invoice* Control of the material filing system ensuring identification and traceability is maintained throughout the business* Ensure product certification pack is available upon dispatch of product* Customer complaints are logged and processed against ISO QMS requirementsPrevious Work Experience:* Ideally mechanical manufacturing experience within a quality orientated role. Previously held documentation roleSpecific Qualifications:Qualified to A level or equivalent is desirable but not essential if previous work experience can demonstrate a proven track record and ability within a similar environment.
