Job Description

We also pay sleepover hours at £9.30 per hour.The Quarriers Village Supported Living service has been developed to support 32 people, who have epilepsy and learning disabililties to have ordinary living experiences. Those being supported have their own tenancies in converted flats in Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir. Support is provided on a needs basis and can vary from a few hours per day to 24 hour support..We are looking for a Full Time Depute to assist the Project Manager in both operational and day to day management of the service, as well as providing direct line management and supervision to Team Leaders and Support Workers . The role will also include assisting in leading a team of Support Workers to deliver high quality care and support.The successful candidate has a number of key objectives and accountabilities including:-

  • To provide leadership, management at relevant times to 4 team leaders and 4 senior support workers.
  • To lead, develop and assist in the supervision a team of 80-100 support workers.
  • May at times provide direct support to the people supported by the service.
  • To ensure that all members of staff (including matrix reports) receive the highest calibre of professional support and supervision.
  • To contribute to the formation of operational policy and to the development of the service via strategic action planning.
  • To help to liaise and develop relationships and partnership working families, Care Managers, Local Authorities and all other relevant agencies to maxise outcomes for the people we support.
  • To ensure that all those supported by the service receive the best possible service at all times.
  • To ensure service expenditures remains within service budget and all policies are adhered to in relation to finance management.
  • To ensure that service is sustainable and income maximised in relation to funded services, housing costs etc.
  • Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.Please note that IT skills are required for all Quarriers vacancies.ABOUT USQuarriers is one of Scotlands leading social care charities.
