Re-Leasing Manager

Job Description

The Executive Network Groups Logistic & Transport division is currently working exclusively with a fantastic client in the railway industry in Derby who are looking for a Re-Leasing Manager to join their team who has a detailed knowledge of the rail industrywith appropriate Traction and Rolling Stock experience.

• Salary: £50,000

Responsibilities:

• Customer engagementsupport commercial discussions
• Supply chain engagement - Support and develop relationships with sub-suppliers
• Manufacturersmaintain a dialogue with manufacturers to understand and analyse their product offering
• Opportunity Trackersupport the Bid Coordinator, as required, at weekly update meetings to review live offers
• Responsibility to manage a weekly review / update meeting with the Procurement team for current and future workstreams
• Other (non-regular)pricing reviews, cost reviews, digital support, strategy development, procurement, and innovation meetings where necessary
• Support the Head of Passenger/Freight, Head of Pricing, relevant Key Relationship Manager and Fleet Strategy Manager, as required.
• Support the Fleet Strategy Manager with the information gathering process for re-leasing opportunities
• Support the Bid Coordinator by providing applicable milestone updates for the upkeep of the bid plan and bid qualification process
• Provide technical input to the Procurement team to allow them to go to the market for third party pricing and assist the Procurement team in answering supplier questions
• Responsible for cost gathering and the pricing process
• Review offer letter drafts as required, to ensure key commercial and technical considerations are understood and accurately captured within offer documents
• Support the Fleet Strategy Manager to maintain an up-to-date summary of feasibility and fleet reports to avoid duplication of work
• Responsible for the upkeep of fleet brochures and fleet information ahead of any re-leasing activities.

Knowledge & Skills

• Extensive knowledge of railway industry rolling stock
• Knowledge of the franchising/concessioning process and bidder requirement
• Knowledge of contractual obligations and operating lease agreements
• Awareness of safety cases, certification issues and railway risks
• Ability to understand and comment upon engineering instructions and drawings
• Knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and overhaul requirements
• Project planning skills
• External and internal communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
• Experience with writing bid submissions is an advantage
• Financial and budgeting awareness

Qualifications:

• Railway engineering knowledge, ideally possessing or working towards Chartered Status
• Degree, HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering but note comments above regarding alternative appropriate Rolling Stock experience
