We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health Rehabilitation Services.The post is split between two rehabilitation units within Salford. Copeland Unit, 15 bedded mixed sex high dependency inpatient unit situated on Salford Royal Hospital site and Bramley Street, 12 bedded male open community unit situated in Lower Broughton. The post holder will work alongside two Band 5 Occupational Therapists and 2 Occupational Therapy Assistants.The successful individual will work within a multi-professional MDT to assess and deliver evidence based Occupational Therapy interventions that facilitate recovery, and enable service users to fulfil their optimum level of personal, social and occupational functioning. The post holder will oversee the effective delivery of OT service and be required to lead on the development of and delivery of both therapeutic individual and group interventions alongside the MDT.You will demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of the OT role within mental health rehabilitation services and an awareness of the Model of Human Occupation in clinical practice. Experience of working as an autonomous OT as well as within a team to achieve positive clinical outcomes is essential.
