We are working with a local authority in Prestwich to find aHR Caseworkeron a temporary basis.Location:Multiple sites, Greater Manchester, Prestwich Hybrid workingJob Type:Full-time Hourly rate:£19.08 per hour. Length of role:Initial 6 monthsWe are seeking an HR Caseworker to join our People & Development Branch. The successful candidate will provide risk-based advice, generalist HR support, and manage their own workload while supporting HR Managers with local change and HR projects.Day-to-day of the role:- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing HR advice, support, and guidance. - Manage a caseload, offering support and guidance to local managers on various HR matters including change management, discipline, grievance, capability, attendance management, and misconduct panels. - Analyse HR data to identify potential risks/issues, produce reports, and make recommendations. - Direct HR tasks to managers to ensure HR issues are managed within relevant timescales and to the necessary quality. - Support and champion the new service delivery model by communicating and reinforcing HR channels. - Work with occupational health and line managers to identify causes for staff absence and recommend solutions. - Act as a tactical advisor for HR-related matters with an understanding of the current policing agenda.Required Skills & Qualifications:- CIPD qualified or equivalent with professional membership of the CIPD governing body. - HR experience including practical casework in employment relations, discipline, grievance, recruitment, and selection. - Knowledge of HR concepts, force-wide policies and procedures, and employment practices. - Experience of working with Trade Unions/Staff Associations in consultation/negotiation processes. - Full UK driving licence and preferably a vehicle available for business use.
