GMMH – Community Psychiatric Nurse Job Title and Grade: Senior Physiotherapist – CPN03 – Band 6Location/Trust: Trust Wide - Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH)Pay Rates (hourly): Days: £16.97 Saturdays/Nights: £22.06 Sundays/Bank Hols: £27.15The Role:Are you an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse who would like to be part of mental health team, providing better lives for the service users, working for one of the UK’s most respected NHS Mental Health Foundation TrustsIf you answered yes, then we would love to hear from you!Based trust wide within GMMH, Under the line management and clinical supervision from within the CMHT , the post holder will maintain and co-ordinate timely and appropriate interventions through mental health nursing, assessment for a caseload of service users living in the community within the framework of CPA, and in line with relevant clinical pathways ( functional or dementia) as outlined within the CMHT operational procedure.This includes respecting individuality, values, culture and religious diversity of clients and colleagues and thus contributing to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs.The role will require an appropriately qualified community psychiatric Nurse who will deliver nursing care to inpatients in line with specified standards within the environment. utilise highly developed interpersonal skills including specific skills to facilitate effective communication when there are barriers to understanding e.g. sensory or cognitive impairment or in a hostile, antagonistic or highly emotive situation.Employing around 4,750 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 130 locations, GMMH people are passionate, patient focused, positive individuals, who are committed to working together to help people live well, striving to give their people a great work experience where they feel supported and valued.With a reduction in stigma both self and societal, increased accessibility of treatment and the use of innovation techniques and tools, GMMH are delivering truly innovative mental health care and will continue to do so.Skills/Responsibilities:To apply for this post, you will:

  • Registered mental health nurse compliant with requirements for NMC
  • Minimum 3 years post registration clinical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working at Band 5
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with a range of providers including GP’s.
  • Full understanding of the Care Programme Approachand Mental Health Act including the needs and rights of Carers.
