Production Planner - FMCG Manufacturing Background - PermanentLocation: Preston, DevonSalary: £27000Hours/Shift: DaysWe are currently recruiting for a Production Planner for our well-established client in the Preston area. Our client is an employer of choice in the area and are looking for a new member to join their team due to continued growth and new product launch.As a Production Planner your purpose will be aim to deliver " client promise as same day despatch of all customer orders, on daily basis through supervising and motivating the team of staff and maintain key performance indicators for critical warehouse activities.Due to this new growth thiswell-established, manufacturing company have been trading for over two generations with big growth plans in place from a large investment making room for progression for growth.Key Skills for the Production Planner

• Production Planner will have previous experience in Production Control/Planning environment.
• Understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Enterprise resource management (ERP).
• Production Planner will have working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid UK driving licence is essential for this position.

Key responsibilities for the production planner

• Understand Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Production Plan.
• Production Planner must ensure available labour hours to match scheduled orders.
• Review Material Availabilities and communicate shortages to other departments.
• Production Planner will be responsible for releasing Work to Shop Floor & coordinate with Team Leaders.
• Monitor Help Desk & respond to queries.
