Job Description

SUMMARY: Responsible for all planning and forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Planning Assistant creates and maintains a rolling 3-week production plan along with daily production plans for the factory. The Demand Planning Assistantmaintains forecasts for our customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing and finance. The Planning Assistant is key part of the organisation to make sure orders are fulfilled and any issues raised.Liaising with senior supervisors and Dept heads, being kept updated as to the progress against the plan.MAIN SKILLS/FUNCTIONS:

Comfortable being within a factory/warehouse environment
Proficiency in Microsoft
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi task, prioritise and plan to meet tight deadline to achieve required targets
Working under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to lead the order processing cycle
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Ability to organize and update inventory records
Good analytical and problem-solving skills

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Keep forecasts for customers up to date and track customer sales to make informed planning decisions
Preparation of daily production plans
Maintain all master data sheets with all products
Measuring actuals achievement v plans set
Monitoring and maintaining correct levels of WIP and finished goods stocks
Improve relationships among production, sales and finance, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast to better guide the company

Delivery of weekly plan set v actual produced by operational team
Smooth factory "flow" to be achieved daily
Decent stock according to forecasts
