Job Description

Position: Night Shift Wheels Team LeaderLocation: Marsh Lane, Portbury, Bristol, BS20 7XLSalary: £CompetitiveHours: Full Time - 40 Hours Per Week MON - SUN (554 Shift Pattern)** 554 Shift Pattern: Working on a 5 on, 5 off, 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off etc basis (15 days per month). This pattern will allow two weekends off a month. Working days are 12 hours, 18:00 - 06:00, which includes x2 tea breaks and x1 lunch break ** Job Summary: Were looking for an exceptional Night Shift Wheels Team Leader to join our fast-growing team at Cazoo, helping to transform the way people buy used cars and making buying a car no different to buying any other product online today.The Night Shift Wheels Team Leader will be responsible for supervising staff who prepare wheels for diamond cutting and painting/lacquering at our Preparation Centre in Bristol.You will be someone that enjoys working in a fast paced environment with a hands on attitude and at heart with a data-driven mindset, sharing fresh ideas for how to apply best practice to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity. What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensuring team members are trained and competent in performing their duties.
  • Ensuring team members adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Reporting absences, faulty equipment or any other issues to management.
  • Attending training programmes as necessary and when instructed.
  • Ensuring the wheel team achieve all targets.
  • Capability to carry out all of the tasks below and cover any role if required.
  • Preparing wheels for painting/lacquering using shrink-wrap to protect the tyres on non-diamond cut wheels.
  • Sending vehicles to the next department as instructed by the internal IT system.
  • Updating internal IT systems at each stage of the wheel refurbishment process.
  • Preparing wheels for diamond cutting/painting using appropriate tools.
  • Using orbital sanders to remove small chips/scuffs in the alloy wheel.
  • Ensuring wheel nuts are torqued to the recommended settings.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working area at all times.
  • Balancing every wheel prior to refitting to the vehicle.
  • Using shot-blasters to key-up alloy wheels.
  • Removing tyres from diamond cut wheels.
  • Removing wheels ready for refinishing.
  • Refitting tyres after painting.
    • Required skills and experience:
  • Significant exposure working in a similar position.
  • Previous team lead/management experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Process driven.
  • Team player.
