Company DescriptionJob DescriptionHR Partner – Portbury, BristolWe are currently recruiting a people-centric, engaging HR Partner to join our fantastic depot team in Portbury, Bristol. This role reports into the HR Business Partner for the Central region of our business and forms a key part of both the depot Leadership Team and Central HR team.The role:Our HR colleagues are critical to our business, acting as a key hub of knowledge and skill to our site-based teams. As an HR Partner, you’ll be responsible for providing an effective day-to-day HR service as well as being instrumental in rolling out andembedding tactical people plans aligned with our ambitious growth strategy. You will bring expertise to ensure that employee relations are effectively managed through coaching line managers, whilst using data to identify and monitor trends and ensuring measuresare taken to address them.Your success will come from living and breathing a can-do and continuous improvement culture, in which people are listened to, involved, and believe their contribution is both valued and optimised.Portbury has just won Depot of the Year, the Transport Excellence award and Most improved Warehouse productivity awards at our annual Supply Chain and Operations conference. The culture is one of continuous improvement, encouraging excellent customer serviceand stability within our network, and leading the way in ways of working.This is a site-based role in Portbury, with 1 day working from home per week. Infrequent travel to Bodwin & Bridgend is required. There will also need to be some flexibility with working hours at times due to the operation running 24/7, although for themost part you will work standard office hours.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Partner and coach site leaders on all aspects of leading their people and the people plan.
  • Provide robust and challenging debate on people matters to ensure great commercial decisions are driven with people as a key differentiator.
  • To ensure all managers have the relevant level of training, coaching and support to manage their people.
  • Using ER data to highlight trends and providing solutions.
  • Supporting line managers in complex ER cases, ensuring they are conducted with a consistentapproach.
  • Actively managing colleague retention and absence - analysing the data to ensure we arereducing attrition.
  • Support with change initiatives relating to employee relations ensuring that they are implemented in accordance with best practise.
  • Ensure there is a consistent onboarding experience for colleagues and new line managers.
  • Ensuring line managers are driving engagement on site through Employee Communication Forum’s, listening groups andSysco Speaks action plans.
  • Support with delivering the people plan and HR calendar activities.
  • Manage HR & Payroll administrator, ensuring alignment with HR Shared Service processes and GDPR compliance.
  • Work with Head of Employee Relations to support with developing HR policies/procedures
  • Also supporting our satellite sites in Bodmin and Bridgend (relatively minimal, reimbursed travel required)
You:You’ll live and breathe customer first, with an innovative and agile approach to identify new ideas and methods. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with a dedicated focus on driving results. Naturally, you will embrace an inclusive working environment and be committed to acting with integrity and honesty in everything you do.Currently operating as a Senior HR Advisor or Junior Business Partner you’ll be CIPD qualified (level 5) or currently working towards this with experience in a similar HR role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentwith demanding stakeholders and able to positively influence whilst building strong working relationships with the site management team. You’ll have sound and up to date knowledge of employment law and legislation to effectively manage and resolve complexER cases. Strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy as well as excellent analytical skills is essential.
