Job Description

Opportunity for a quality manager to join a market-leading business, who have secure order books for the next few years. The organisation supply product for a wide range of projects across the UK. The company are financially stable and have an excellentreputation.As the quality manager, you will lead the quality assurance function, coordinating all activities to ensure that raw materials, in-process products and finished products conform to specifications and customer expectations. Further responsibilities will include:-

  • Interacting with key customers to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of professionals
  • Monitoring quality assurance activities, recommending changes to the manufacturing process, systems technology, raw materials or suppliers.
  • Taking ownership of the ISO9001 quality system, overseeing internal and external audits.
  • Researching, evaluating and recommending investments in technology, capital equipment, systems, or other assets that will improve quality.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure supplier quality is satisfactory.
To apply for the quality manager position, you will need: -
  • Well developed leadership skills, gained in a quality management position.
  • Extensive experience of managing internal and external audits
  • A solid understanding of ISO9001, and ideally ISO14001 and OHSAS18001
