We are currently recruiting for our client who is a well-known Steelworks Contractor in Port Talbot for a Process Operator. This is a full-time position, working on a 4 on - 4 off shift rota, 12 hour days and nights, that will become permanent once a successfulprobationary period has been completed. Duties and responsibilities will include: * Accepting external and internal deliveries of material * Monitoring and controlling the feed of different types of material to a bunker system via conveyor belts * Dealing with internal and external clients and customers * Reporting and recording daily process figures and deliveries * Reporting issues & breakdowns to the management team * Operating computer based monitoring systems * Co-ordinating internal / external logistics and deliveries * Complying with existing working methods and SWPs, and making suggestions of improvementsSuitable applicants will have experience of working with conveyor systems and managing stock levels in an industrial environment. You must also have a flexible approach to working hours, have a full drivers licence and your own transport, and be prepared &able to work overtime when required. You will be subject to a pre employment medical examination and drug / alcohol test. You will also require a CCNSG Site Safety Passport, or the ability to obtain one. Annual expected earnings in the region of £29,000 to start which will raise to increasing to in excess of £32,000 once training is completed. You will also be eligible for a quarterly bonus once probation has been completed.
