Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of Tata Steels Port Talbot team for a Mechanical Craft Team Member. Within the role, you will perform preventative maintenance and inspection work and provide expertise and resource to identify and rectify faults incomplex systems to ensure manufacturing continuity.Client DetailsTata Steel Port Talbot are a critical area of Tata Steel in the UK, they are on a journey. A journey creating exciting products that support our customers growth in an area thats receiving millions of pounds of investment whilst bringing new technologyto the forefront.DescriptionThe key responsibilities are-

  • Ensuring all activity is undertaken within Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and in compliance with company and legislative requirements
  • You will work as part of a team to ensure engineering performance on an ongoing basis, support engineering development plans and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Service and refurbish key critical items of plant in line with our preventative maintenance programme
ProfileThe successful candidate will have-
  • Youll be qualified to ONC/NVQ 3 level, which will have normally been obtained through a craft apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate
  • have relevant plant experience in mechanical systems and be capable of the safe execution of engineering repair work
  • Experience in lubrication and lubrication systems would be advantageous but not essential as we can provide you with this training
