Job Description

We are looking to hire a talented electrical / electronics engineer to help bring cost-effective energy generation to off-grid locations worldwide.The company is a well-funded, financially stable start-up, whove developed a renewable energy product that will disrupt the energy market for off-grid power in developing countries. The revolutionary product will provide robust and sustainable power for crucial infrastructure assets while using excess electricity to enhance local communities. This is your opportunity to join an ambitious renewable energy company and make a difference.As the electrical engineer, you will work closely with a small, friendly team of multi-disciplined engineers, senior engineers and the engineering manager. Your duties will include: -

  • Gaining an understanding of companies control and electrical system designs
  • Developing, configuring, and integrating electrical equipment including power management, charging, battery storage systems and PLC controls
  • Optimising, laying out, and modularisation of parts and assemblies to improve product adaptability and function
  • Assisting in the generation and maintenance of product documentation: functional specifications, electrical drawings, manuals, project technical files, training and health & safety documentation
    • To apply for the electrical engineer, you will require: -
  • Formal qualifications in electrical / electronics engineering, ideally a degree
  • Proven experience in electrical design, development and integration
  • Ideally experience of high power switching circuits, electrical charging, battery storage and PLCs
  • The wiliness to travel abroad two to three times a year, for up to one week at a time
    • In return, the electrical engineer will receive a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, a company pension contribution of 10%, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays and access to a healthcare plan.
