Job Description

Are you an experienced Accounts Recievable Clerk wanting a new challenge We have a great opportunity available with an highly successful and growing company who values accuracy and detail. This global organisation, who holds dominance in the energy market, is seeking a candidate to join their Port Talbot office and join their busy finance team.What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • Ensure quality for all accounts receivable operations using communications skills to work with teams in Europe, North America and the Middle East
  • Maintain a face-pace and use imitative to work with teams to support the financial shared service centre
  • Proficient in handling bankruptcy, chargebacks, intercompany confirmations, and customer inquiries
  • Assist in month-end close, journal entries, and supports audits and internal controls
  • Adheres to policies, maintains compliance, prepares reports, and performs ad-hoc duties
  • Effectively processes invoices, resolves discrepancies, and applies various payment methods
  • Conducts follow-up activities on past due accounts in accordance with company procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Desired: AAT Qualification
  • Experience: 2-5 years in accounts payable, with knowledge of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
  • Skills: Strong numerical proficiency, ability to calculate and manage accounting figures and records
  • Traits: customer service-oriented, proactive, works well with minimal supervision, focused on delivering results
  • Qualities: reliable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional customer service
  • Collaboration: Works well with employees at all levels, management, and external agencies to maximise performance and problem-solving
  • Software: exprience with SAP, Microsoft Office, advanced Excel
  • Additional: attention to detail, ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, analytical skills.
