An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a leading global FMCG company with brands such as Domestos, Comfort, Persil & Tressemme, are currently looking for a Pack Support Operator to work in their prestigious facility in Port Sunlight. This is a Temporary, but ongoing position. The pay rate will be £14.72 an hour on basis of 37.5 hours per weekThis role is based on a 5 crew shift pattern, which is 2 x 12 hour day shifts, followed by 2 x 12 hour night shifts.Following these 4 shifts, there is a period of 6 days off. During the "off" period, as part of the shift pattern, some shifts would be "on call" shifts that you would need to cover if an operator is off sick on another shift.Main Job Purpose:The Pack Support Operator is responsible for delivering, materials to the line including collection, delivery and loading onto line to meet the production plan. The Pack Support Operator is also responsible for the removal and processing/recycling of wasteproduced during production in line with factory guidelines. As a core member of the operations team the Operator (Basic) plays an important role in maintaining line/unit safety and will identify process or line/unit issues to leaders.Key areas of Accountability: Maintaining excellent internal communications between team and areas via logbooks, activity boards and handovers.Maximize the use of any down time to carry out cleaning and inspection activities, always ensuring cover through working effectively with colleagues in line with our site working agreements and using line manager as point of escalation if required.Ensure Company OSHE policy, rules and procedures are understood and followed on all operational tasks.Identify and report health or safety hazards & dangerous situations and may have to put appropriate control measures in place.When required, take part in Safety inspectionsReduce costs to waste and minimise impact to health, safety, and the environment through working to eliminate waste and through the correct management of waste and hazardous materials.Quality:Monitors quality against set standards and reports any product and packaging faults.Detects process abnormalities quickly and takes emergency action to prevent them.Reduce costs due to waste and minimise impact to health, safety, and the environment through working to eliminate waste and through the correct handling of waste and hazardous materials.
