Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance SurveyorLocation: South Wales – Rhondda Contract: Temporary Contract 6 months Hours: 37 per week Monday – Friday Rate:£22 basic, £24.76 holiday, £27.80 umbrella BRC are working with a Housing Association who are recruiting a Maintenance Surveyor to join their Property Services team on a temporary contract basis due to increased workload and a large project they are currently running. This role is based in Pontypridd and working up in Hirwaun for the project work. The job offers hybrid working including home working.Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing stock condition surveys – full property surveys including roofs, windows, retaining walls, kitchen, and bathroom refurbs. You will be provided a tablet to complete these.
  • Monitoring work on site relating to RAAC and Artex, completing regular site inspections and managing contractors on site.
  • Working alongside 2 other surveyors.
  • To create bespoke specifications of work for quotation purposes.
  • Liaise with other external agencies e.g., Local Authority Environmental Health Teams and internal teams in the organisation.
Role Specifications:
  • Degree, Trade background or equivalent experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of building construction and maintenance.
  • Experience of working in a housing association environment.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good understanding of the health and safety requirements that affect the operation and management of housing maintenance services.
  • Ability to work alone without close supervision and as part of a team.
