Job Description

Robert Half are currently recruiting a Management Accountant for an international business, based in north Cardiff.The successful candidate will take a lead on all finance responsibilities in the UK reporting directly into the European Finance Manager. The contract involves managing month and year end accounts production, as well as delivering performance analysis andperiodic reporting.Location: Cardiff (north)Hourly rate: £20 - £25 + holiday payDuration: Ongoing temporary, potential for a permanent contractOffice / WFH: Hybrid working 3 days on site, 2 days from home (initial training to take place on site full-time)Key Responsibilities:

  • Full month end production
  • Month end journals, accruals and prepayment
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Control of employee expenses and credit card expenditure
  • Provide monthly departmental analysis controlling spend
  • Upload monthly accounts
  • Cash flow analysis for group consolidation
  • Verify intercompany balances
  • Preparation of year end statutory accounts and tax pack
  • Preparation of annual budget for all cost centres
  • VAT returns
  • Run weekly and monthly payroll to cover sickness absence
  • Quarterly forecasting for all cost centres
  • Provide weekly FOREX data to group treasury department
  • Prepare annual reports for HMRC
  • Management of vendor data base
  • Liaising with the wider business and stakeholders when required
Your Profile:
  • Qualified / Part-Qualified or QBE Accountant
  • Experience using ERP systems - SAP experience desirable
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Previous Financial Reporting experience
  • Analytical and methodical approach
  • Plans & organises their own work effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously in a standalone role
