Job Description

Position: 1-1 Teaching AssistantLocation: PontypriddHours: Mon to Fri (8:30am - 3:30pm)Pay: £85 per day (increases dependent on experience and qualifications).A lovely school located in the Pontypridd area are currently seeking an experienced, qualified 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a KS2 class.Duties as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant:

Providing individualised support and assistance to a specific student with additional needs within the classroom setting.
Implementing strategies and interventions, specific to the individuals needs and requirements.
Assisting the student with classroom tasks, activities and adapting materials as needed to suit their personalised provisions.
Supporting the students social and emotional well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Holding strong communication with the class teacher, parents and children.
Supporting the pupil during transitions between activities, ensuring their safety and promoting independence.

Role Requirements:

Level 2/3 CACHE in Supporting Teaching & Learning
Previous experience working within a Primary School environment
Previous experience supporting a child on a 1-1 basis
Local to or able to commute to Pontypridd
Knowledge and understanding of additional learning needs
An enhanced DBS check & registration with the EWC (we can assist if not!)
