Job Description

Job Title: Payroll/Accounts AssistantLocation: PontypriddType: Full-time, PermanentWorking Hours: Monday - Friday, Flexible Hours (8:30 am - 5:00 pm or 9:30 am - 6:00 pm)Salary: £30,000 per annumOverview:Join our dynamic team at a prestigious Chartered Firm of Accountants located in Pontypridd. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Payroll/Accounts Assistant. This position offers an exciting opportunity forgrowth and development within the finance industry.Responsibilities:Manage payroll operations for up to 80 - 100 clients efficiently and accurately.Utilize Bright Pay software to streamline payroll processes (experience with Bright Pay is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided).Assist with bookkeeping duties, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately.Handle general finance administration tasks as required by the team.Collaborate with colleagues to support various accounting functions and maintain high standards of service delivery.Requirements:Prior experience in payroll administration is highly desirable.Familiarity with Bright Pay software is advantageous, though not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.Proficiency in basic accounting principles and financial procedures.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Candidates with relevant qualifications or certifications in finance/accounting will be preferred.Location & Benefits:Conveniently located just 5 minutes from the train station in Pontypridd, our office offers easy access for commuters.Competitive salary package of £30,000 per annum.Full-time permanent position with flexible working hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the organization.Join a supportive and collaborative team environment within a reputable Chartered Firm of Accountants.If you are a motivated individual with a passion for finance and a desire to excel in your career, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
