Job Description

Were recruiting for a Treasury Accountant in the Pontypool Area; this is a great opportunity to work for a well- established company that offers great benefits. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To advise the Finance Director on all financial matters and ensure adequate supervision of the Commercial Finance Officer regarding their duties and responsibilities.
  • To assist the Finance Director in ensuring that the finance service complies with relevant legislation, financial regulation, good practice, and regulatory requirements and to advise the Finance Director of any changes required.
  • To be responsible for the cashflow forecasting within the Group.
  • To be responsible for production of the Groups business planning using the BRIXX model, including modelling relevant scenarios and their impact on the plan.
  • To act as the Gatekeeper alongside the Development Manager in managing, operating, and updating the businesses project management and appraisal system.
  • To work closely with and support the Development team regarding the provision of information and analysis relating to financial viabilities of projects under consideration.
  • To be responsible for the maintenance of the loans and security register and the provision of the required financial information to lenders as requested and liaison with valuers.
  • To lead on the post completion scheme reviews and advise the Finance Director of any proposed changes to the Annual Financial Strategy.
  • To assist the Finance Director in the production of all budget reports, quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
  • To be responsible for maintaining the group accounting structure and inter-company controls.
  • To be responsible for the Groups insurance renewal information and liaise with insurers accordingly.
  • To ensure compliance with performance and service standards and to provide the Finance Director with all relevant performance data on a timely basis.
  • To assist the Finance Director in ensuring that the Finance service is delivered in accordance with Association policies and procedures and to assist in their regular review
  • To liaise and maintain good working relationships and communication channels with all internal departments and produce relevant management information as required.
  • To liaise and maintain good working relationships with all relevant external agencies, lenders, valuers, and our advisors.
  • To attend any internal or external meetings as requested including the attendance at Board meetings or Audit & Assurance Committee if appropriate
