An esteemed charity who successfully delivers a crisis intervention and homeless prevention services is looking for a skilled support specialist to join their drop-in service team. Joining a high performing team, you will be at the forefront of the missionto reduce and prevent homelessness.Working in Torfaen, this project supports people who are at risk of becoming homeless. The service provides housing related support with the target of increasing independence and preventing homelessness. Working with a variety of agencies, this role is pivotalin providing proactive solution and ensuring client receive the necessary support which meet their needs.This demand led role empowers and enables clients to address personal or housing difficulties, building confidence and improve their ability to live independently in the future.The successful candidate will have knowledge of current homelessness law, benefits, tenancies and the housing (Wales) Act 2014. They will be confident in working within a busy environment and hold excellent IT skills. They will be comfortable lone workingand confident in dealing with the unique needs of the clients, including complex needs such as those in housing crisis/at risk of homelessness, mental health, and experiences with domestic violence.This exciting full-time role (37.5hours p/week) offers an opportunity to join a unique role for a fantastic charity.
