Job Description

The Role We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Officer, based at our site in Glascoed, South Wales. Youwill be responsible for the management of customer orders including processing of theorders from receipt to delivery, managing the bid process for all orders and ensuring that thecorrect processes are followed.Qualifications/SkillsAs Commercial Officer your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Understands the role of the Commercial function within the business and seeks to develop the functions impact to improve the business.
  • Supporting project teams in both business winning and contract performance activities
  • Ensuring all activities are compliant with the company commercial policies and where they may not be taking affirmative action to correct
  • Demonstrating an ability to provide the commercial contributions required for route to contract.
  • Negotiation and finalisation of contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Ensuring that the contract requirements and obligations are clear and unambiguous for both the company and the customer and are reflected in the contract.
  • Managing customer expectations in terms of requirement and affordability
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of good customer relationships
  • A good understanding the various contracting environments in which the business
  • operates e.g. UK MoD / Def Cons
  • Undertaking an active role in ongoing risk and opportunity identification management
  • As Commercial Officer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
  • Ideally from a commercial or procurement background
  • Managing reasonably sized orders and processing of proposals
  • Experience in the bid phase/activities.

Hybrid working - 2 days minimum in officeRate open to negotiations (Inside IR35)
