Job Description

Overview of the Project:Cyfannol Women’s Aid has been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund’s Digital Fund to integrate technology across the charity to deliver its vision, enhance services to those who access them, and develop the ability of the charity to meet future technological developments.What digital transformation means to us:Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of Cyfannol Women’s Aid to enhance and improve how we deliver our vision and services, and give value and ownership to the people who access them. It’s a cultural change that will require us to continually challenge the status quo, be curious about the options available to us, and be prepared to reflect, re-evaluate and even change path as we develop further.By digitally transforming Cyfannol Women’s Aid, we aim to:

  • Bring services closer to people
  • Improve how we communicate
  • Discover new opportunities and develop solutions to problems we face
  • Encourage collaboration
  • Ensure we are adaptable in our approach, and have the skills and culture to respond to future technological developments
  • Whilst some preliminary activities will have commenced prior to the Project Manager’s appointment (digital maturity assessment, and digital skills audit), the Project Manager will be expected to undertake project scoping and initiation activities that include journey mapping and consultation, and support the charity to develop its digital strategy and the project implementation plan. This includes developing the remit of the second project team role that will report to the Project Manager.The Project Manager will be a key role within the organisation, helping us to take this exciting and ambitious project forward.Key Project Accountabilities:1) To be responsible for leading the Digital Transformation and organisational change across Cyfannol Women’s Aid, championing the integration of the Charities’ services and projects to the overall digital transition.2) To co-ordinate the steering and delivery groups with the project sponsor.3) To establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, including suppliers / partners, and communicate effectively on project progress and deliverables.4) In partnership with the project sponsor, develop relevant strategies and plans (delivery framework, communication, outcomes, for each strand of the project).5) To work in partnership with all key stakeholders including staff, people who use services, external agencies, and technical consultants.6) To be responsible for sharing the learning of the project with relevant organisations within the Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse, and Sexual Violence sector and wider.7) To apply a management framework for the project in order to ensure the project is defined, developed, governed, and managed in a consistent manner.8) To be accountable for the project budget, and ensuring all financial and monitoring returns are recorded accurately, and provided in line with the National Lottery Community Fund requirements and timescales.9) Report, prepare, and monitor project information, and communicate on a regular basis with key stakeholders internally and externally.10)To take ownership of risks to project delivery, and manage appropriately with the Steering Group11)Support the development of activities such as training for staff and those who use Cyfannol Women’s Aid services12)Line manage, coach, and develop the second project team member.Leading organisational change 1) To lead on change in an inclusive, engaging, and empowering manner.2) To negotiate and communicate with relevant internal service leads to ensure that necessary people, resources, and skills are available to project timescales and resource requirements.3) To ensure that mechanisms are in place to enable the active participation and engagement of staff and those using the Charities’ services in the development and management of the project.4) To act as key adviser to the project steering group, resolving issues and recommending corrective action as appropriate.5) To manage the preparation and updating of all project documentation (using the agreed project management framework) ensuring compliance with the agreed project governance arrangements6) Review and develop and policies and procedures in relation to the project, and communicate with appropriate stakeholders.
