A new opportunity has arisen to join the Software Development & Design (SD&D) Team as an Operational Data Store Administrator (ODSA).This is key role in the Patient Flow project to deliver improved inpatient care management and clinical safety through better visibility of observations, improved bed management, increased productivity, mobility and easy access of data.As part of a programme of Continuous Programme and Modernisation, SD&D are designing and implementing a new core architecture to support the demands of a modern health service. A key component of this architecture is the Operational Data Store (ODS) which is a clinical data repository based on HL7 FHIR and MS SQL Server technologies.You should have knowledge and experience of either JSON, XML or HL7 FHIR, along with knowledge of Clinical Terminology and Clinical Classification Systems.As a senior member of the team, the ODSA will have overarching responsibility for the day to day operation of the ODS and the management of its contents.This is a great opportunity for you to join our Team and utilise your skills and experience to produce solutions that are key to supporting both patient care and operational services here in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.Closing Date: 1st October 2020For further details / informal visits contact:Caroline SchanzerTechnical Project LeadCaroline.schanzer@wales.nhs.uk
