Job Description

AL569: Electric Motor Technician / Electric Motor RewinderLocation: Exeter,Cheddar,Leicester, PontypoolSalary: £17.50ph + Overtime + ProgressionOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Winder on behalf of one of our clients.Our client specialises in the repair and sourcing of pumps, motors, gearboxes, generators and power transmission components. This is your chance to work for an industry leading service provider.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To bring electro/mechanical knowledge to the Winding Shop, specifically to rewind AC and DC motors, stators, armatures and transformers.
  • To carry out works of both low voltage and high voltage rewinds and refurbishment of high and low voltage electric motors and generators.
  • To be available for call out shifts, as per a call out rota.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in winding, specifically to rewind AC and DC motors, stators, armatures and transformers.
  • Career development.
  • Customer and solution focussed.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours.
  • Attention to detail with good communications skills.
  • Driving licence.
