Design DraftspersonPontypoolNegotiable Salary DOE + 22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Development and Progression OpportunitiesMonday to Thursday, 7.30am to 4pm, Fridays Early Finish, 2.30pm.Design Draftsperson required for a well-established Manufacturer of Materials Handling Equipment for various industries. The business has some impressive clients in industries ranging from Pharmaceuticals, Petrochemical, Food and Aggregates to name some. This is a great opportunity for technical development or career progression.The Successful Design Draftsperson will have a competent level of knowledge of fabrication, welding and machining processes. You will need to have a good understanding of the workings of materials handling equipment, such as: screw conveyors, mixers, belt conveying or similar machinery. You will be well versed in using 2D AutoCAD, but experience with 3D Solidworks will also be appealing.The Design Draftsperson Role:* Producing a high standard of arrangement and layout drawings for the manufacturing team.* Liaising with the Engineering Manager, Design Manager and Project Managers.* Producing detailed material profiles for CNC laser cutting (laser cutting & programming by others).* Interpreting contract specifications to ensure that equipment is designed in accordance to industry regulations and project specifications.* Creating bill of material and parts lists.* Ensuring documentation is properly recorded, organised and updated.The Successful Design Draftsperson:* You will be well versed in using 2D AutoCAD, but experience with Solidworks will also be appealing.* You will have a competent level of knowledge of fabrication, welding and machining processes.* You will need to have a good understanding of the workings of materials handling equipment, such as: screw conveyors, mixers, belt conveying or similar machinery.
