Job title: Automotive Trimmer (Inside IR35)Role: Contract role for 10 weeks (possible for extension)Location: PontypoolHours:Standard days 8.00 to 16.30 (early finish Friday)We require several Automotive Trimmers in Pontypool, who will be responsible for upholstering motor vehicle seats, in the interiors of motor vehicles.- You will be experienced working within the Automotive or Upholsterer on leather/ultra-leathers etc as a Trimmer Operator.- You will require a good understanding of Trimming processes to ensure the product is produced to the correct quality and conformity specifications.- You will be responsible for ensuring you build and approve a quality product in line with the SOP and any other Quality standards.Key Activities: (What gets done)- You will be required to remove and re-install, seat covers from seats on broad range of modern vehicles.- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and hygiene are always maintained in line with 5S principles- Always wear appropriate safety protection and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policy and procedures.- To always act and behave in a way compliant with all EDC company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environmental, Health and Safety, ethics, values, and codes of conduct.- To contribute towards achieving and maintaining high health and safety standards and to carry out all duties and specific responsibilities in compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by your manager.Key qualifications, skills and experience required:- Be able to demonstrate previous automotive or related industry knowledge, (ideally holding a minimum of 2 yrs). experience as a trimmer within the soft furnishing sectors.- As a Vehicle Trimmer you will be required to hold a valid UK driving licence.- Have great hand-eye co-ordination.Competence/Technical Capability:- Organisational Skills Prioritise tasks and activities to ensure the completion of orders to satisfy customer demand, maximize productivity and help to ensure daily production targets are achieved.- Communication Skills Good communication skills both verbal and written.- Team working Works collaboratively with all associates.- Interpersonal Skills Listens to others.- Innovator Proactive in approaching new challenges- Quality Able to follow SOPs and not divert from process.- Problem Solving To develop ones own problem solving and trouble shooting skills- Business Awareness Continuously looking to drive and improve productivity.Demand for this role will undoubtedly be high and interviews will be arranged very soon.
