Job Description

To ensure the effective and timely procurement of components and raw materials in order to provide OnTime In Full delivery of finished goods to customers.Client DetailsMy client is a well established manufacturing business whose products are exported and respected globally.DescriptionKey responsibilities of the Supply Chain Administrator are:Position OverviewTo ensure the effective and timely procurement of components and raw materials in order to provide On Time In Full delivery of finished goods to customers.Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities Develop a good understanding of component and raw material codes and Bills of Materials Communicating short and medium term requirements to suppliers; Ensuring on time materials availability to enable 100% plan realisation; Management and detailed analysis of obsolete and slow moving stocks; Managing suppliers; Liaising internally with the Logistics, Operations and Quality departments; Liaising with U.K. based and international suppliers, customers and transporters;ProfileIn order to become succesful in your application for the Supply Chain Administrator role you will be:Qualifications and Experience - Essential Good standard of general education; G.C.S.E. Mathematics and English, grades A*-C (or equivalent); Understanding of supply chain and associated lead times;  Experience of liaising in-house and externally with people at all levels. Experience of working with MRP. Qualifications and Experience - Desirable Educated to A-level standard or equivalent; Knowledge of Sage X3; Experience of working in a FMCG/ pharmaceutical/automotive manufacturing environment; Experience of working in a manufacturing environment; Page 2 of 2 Essential Skill Requirements  High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, in particular MS Excel; Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative; Conscientious, self-motivated & proactive; Good written and verbal communication skills; Desire to work in a fast paced environment; Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail; A professional and positive attitude; Ability to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines; Highly organised; Safety, house-keeping and hygiene aware Flexible/adaptable; AssertiveJob OfferThe successful candidate, who becomes the next Pontyclun based Supply Chain Administrator can expect:

  • Competitive salary
  • 37 hours per week, 08:00-16:30 Monday-Thursday, 08:00-13:00 Friday.
  • 5 weeks of holidays per year plus bank holidays
