Job Description

POSTAL WORKERWORKING 5 DAYS OUT OUT 6 (MONDAY - SATURDAY): 08.00 - 18.00£16.58 PER HOURWhats in it for mePeople Solutions are pleased to be working with a well known name within the mail distribution network, to support with the placement of seasonal Postal Workers to deliver the Christmas mail and parcels.Working five days out of six across Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 18:00, you will be part of an important network of delivery drivers.Earning from £16.58 per hour, this is an opportunity not to be missed.Benefits

Day to Day DutiesAs the face of the business in the local area, your day will start with you spending an hour or so in the local delivery office, sorting the mail / parcels for your route and taking out your van to start your round.Youll then be responsible for:• Delivering mail and parcels to houses and businesses within the area.• Working flexible hours to deliver outstanding levels of service.• Using a hand-held computer device to act as a routing system and obtain customer signatures for deliveries.Essential SkillsEssentially skills for this role are:• A full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 points for insurance reasons.• Good time keeping.• A professional appearance and attitude, & confident when dealing with people.• The ability to work equally well as part of a team and on your own initiative.Desirable Experience
  • Experience in a similar delivery role would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
  • If you hold an in date DBS / DS certificate this would be an advantage, however not essential as clearance can be obtained for you.
