Job Description

Robert Half are excited to be working with an industry leading organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant position, based full-time in office, in Pontyclun.They are offering a very competitive: base salary of circa £26,000 + study package + growth opportunities + salary sacrifice on electric vehicles + onsite parking.As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Enter and maintain the companys financial ledger with all transactions (purchase invoicing, sales invoicing with limited sales ledger management, fixed asset additions, cash banking and processing, month end reconciliations)
  • Day to day banking of all cash / cheques entering in the business and all payments going out of the business, as well as responsibility for company petty cash usage and reconciliation
  • To assist with budgetary projections, control and monitoring
  • Involvment with regular product costings
Candidate Profile:
  • AAT fully qualified - Essential
  • IT literacy to a competent level - Essential including Advanced Excel skills - Desirable
  • An understanding of manufacturing accounting and / or the requirements of a fast growing business - Desirable
  • Dealing with non-finance individuals on a day to day basis and taking ownership of any financial issues which may arise - Desirable
  • Experience of fast moving consumer goods environment (start to finish accounting covering all aspects) - Desirable
