I am currently working with a national coal mining charity based in Pontefract who are looking to recruit a social worker assistant on a full time or part time permanent basis.The client is willing to offer a salary of £25,817 alongside amazing benefits such as staff discounts, travel discounts and much more!Role DescriptionCarrying out high quality assessments alongside the qualified social worker providing a range of interventions in response to the assessed needs of the client including welfare benefits advice, advocacy, emotional support and practical advice.Working and liaising with and building relationships with a variety of external agencies/partners and promoting the service to other professionals and also the clients.The role will provide high quality, community based advice and support to former miners and their dependants.Minimum RequirementsDriving license and access to own vehicle (Essential)Social care degree (Preferred but not essential)Experience of working in a social work/social care environment (Essential)Knowledge of providing advice in regards to welfare benefits advice (Preferred but not essential)Please only apply for this role if you have the relevant experience, if you wish to discuss the role in further detail please contact Shaz Khan
