Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading waste to product business in Wakefield who are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will report into the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of automated machinery. Working Hours 4 on 4 off (Days and nights) Salary: £43,000 + attractive benefits package Electrical Maintenance Engineer Duties and Responsibilities Include: • Work to the companies Safety, Health, Environmental policy, associated standards and procedures. • To report any deviations from the companies Safety, Health, Environmental policy, associated standards and procedures to the Maintenance Planning Engineer. • To report any poor maintenance practices and any deviations from the Maintenance Management Framework and supporting business process standards. • To execute planned maintenance activities (inspections, monitoring and routine) and to provide the necessary technical feedback to allow improvement to the job plans and task list within the CMMS. • To carry out reactive maintenance (corrective maintenance). • To support the delivery of the Condition Based Maintenance programme. • To work with the site operations and maintenance shift teams in the prioritisation of reactive maintenance work. • Seek the necessary support required from operations to make the plant safe and in a condition such that engineering and maintenance work can commence. • To support work that has been as a result of: • Maintenance improvement initiatives • Operational improvement initiatives • Capital projects • Lifecycle replacement programme • Use the CMMS system for any work relating to the maintenance services delivery (Work Orders) and the recording of time, spares and any other resources required to execute the work. • Use of the CMMS in the recording of failure data to ensure future analysis can be carried out to identify poor performing equipment. • Use SCADA and HMI to determine process condition(s) and to aid in fault finding in the event of corrective maintenance or to determine the true reason for process poor performance. • Maintain maintenance document and drawings to the required standard to ensure legal compliance. • Maintain a safe working environment through good standards of housekeeping and hazard identification. • Provide holiday and sickness cover shifts, as required, to ensure adequate levels of maintenance cover to support operational requirements. • Carry out other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Team, if competent to do so. Essential Qualifications • A minimum electrical qualification (industrial facing) at NVQIII, BTEC ONC/OND, NVQ IV/V, BTEC HNC/HND level. • Qualified to IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Essential Experience • A minimum of 3 years working in an industrial / manufacturing environment. • Good working knowledge on electrical installations, electrical testing, lighting maintenance, in service inspection and testing of electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, industrial switchgear, EMC, lighting protection,building services, LEV and control systems. • Strong fault diagnosis and rectification on control systems (PLCs, SCADA etc) and electrical systems and circuits from 24V d.c up to 415V a.c • Competent in the use of testing equipment and other hand tools that would be expected to be used in maintenance activities. • Good working knowledge on the environment aspects to electrical work such as WEEE Minimum. • The ability to read to a high level of understanding electrical drawings and a lesser level PIDs and mechanical schematics. • Working knowledge of Electricity At Work Regulations (EaWR 1989) and PTW and LOTO systems. • Good people skills and be able to communicate electrical / technical content to non-technical people. • Good numeracy and written skills for the role. • Full driving licence.
