Job Description

Quality Assurance ManagerAshby de la Zouch (Home of Hula Hoops, Skips, popchips and more...)As our Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving food safety and quality standards as well as managing a team of 3 Quality Technicians and 2 Hygienists. Being in a senior position within the factory you’ll be expected to report into the factories Senior Leadership Team.Some of your keyresponsibilities will include:

  • Drive Food Safety and Quality Standards within the factory
  • Manage a team of 6 Quality Technicians and 6 Hygienists across 3 shifts
  • Manage Pest Control on site
  • Implementing and managing Factory Hygiene System
  • Managing Allergen Control System within the factory
  • Internal Auditing of the site to BRC, AIB and customer standards
  • Managing Non-conformances and coordinating corrective actions on site
  • Assisting launch of new products, ensuring that products are compliant with HACCP and specifications
  • Advising and training staff on good manufacturing practices
  • Liaise with Departmental teams to ensure all arrangements are made for customer or 3rd part visits and audits
  • Representing the Technical department during site visits and audits
  • Coordinate responses to key queries on functional areas and manage customer audit request information, follow upsfollow-ups and responses
  • Visiting customers for product Quality reviews as required e.g. QAS and SCAMR´s
  • Ensuring that all complaints are robustly investigated to specific timescales
  • Liaise with Operations and Engineering teams on CAPEX projects

  • Use resources effectively to maintain standards
    • Job requirementsEssential knowledge, skills and experience:Quality and Hygiene focussed being the primary quality interface between the factory and other disciplines on-site and as such taking ownership of all aspects for quality and hygiene on site.
  • Technical awareness and understanding of Intersnack and Customer policies
  • Team engagement across site disciplines
  • Factory Technical/Quality Management and Hygiene experience
  • Retailer Standards
  • BRC and AIB Standards
  • Proven track record in Hygiene Systems, QMS and HACCP
  • Experience Own label and Branded label products
  • Experience of FMCG processes
  • Must have food Manufacturing Experience
  • Good knowledge of food safety and good manufacturing practices
  • Understanding of Food Technology
  • Customer knowledge
