Night Logistics Co-Ordinator WF9 Sunday to Thursday 21:30 - 06:30 This exciting new role is being created to join ateam within a growing temperature-controlled storage and distribution business.You will be responsible for ensuring our important customers receive their deliveries in a timely manner and in good condition, in accordance with DVSA legislation. This is a vital coordination and communication role which supports the driving team overnight.Your duties will include leading the nights transport operation, communicating trunking times and customer requests, assisting with routing, scheduling and job/driver allocation and working with subcontractors to resolve anomalies.REQUIREMENTS

• The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated person with a confident, friendly manner
• Experience within the frozen or chilled food industry or 3rd party logistics is essential
• Experience of groupage route planning would be desirable
• Must possess demonstrable administrative or coordination experience in a fast-moving setting.
• Must be customer focused and able to concentrate on solving issues if they occur
• Should have a sound geographical knowledge of the UK
• Ideally have a working knowledge of legislative/highway regulations, in particular the Working Time Directive and Drivers Working Hours legislation.
• Confident communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent attention to detail and be able to plan ahead, work under pressure and multi-task.
• Confident using all Microsoft Office programs
• Software knowledge of Mandata Transport or Chess Warehouse would be a particular advantage, but full training will be provided

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the Nights transport operation, following through trunking times and customer requests
• Alterations with routing, scheduling and job/ driver allocations, ensuring the driving team to work in accordance with WTD & Drivers Hours legislation.
• Working to build and develop effective working relationships with drivers.
• Responsible for any chances and amendments, Shift scheduling/ resource planning & subcontractors
• Working with the planning team to ensure trailer availability as well as resource planning for order fulfilment
• Advising on Breakdowns and progress reporting throughout the chain of repairs.
• Assist the warehouse in arranging prioritised load patterns.
• Liaising & arranging work with the VMU garage operation to ensure the third party is fulfilling business requirements
• Trailer management & allocation. Prioritising works in cooperation with the needs of the logistics operation.
• Brief/de-brief of driving team and agency staff on arrival at transport and liaising with Shunter to forward plan the mornings requirements
