Job Description

Principal Resourcing are seeking an ambitious History teacher for long-term cover in one of our welcoming Secondary schools in Pontefract. The role is due to start in January and will run for a term.We are seeking a special candidate who is committed to raising standards and developing outstanding practice. You can expect to be paid up to £180 per day depending upon your experience and the role requirements.We are happy to receive applications from both experienced teachers and NQTs.Within the role you will be required to:

  • Have a strong and creative approach to teaching and raising attainment
  • Demonstrate outstanding subject knowledge
  • Plan and prepare up to GCSE
  • Have the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • Work as part of a successful team to plan and/or deliver an inspiring and engaging curriculum
    • Skills and attributes:
  • Teaching qualification - QTS, PGCE
  • The ability to develop and work in strong, effective teams and partnerships
  • Perseverance, determination and resilience to secure positive progress outcomes for students
  • Strong classroom management skills with a nurturing approach
