Pontardawe Primary Care Centre is a friendly, forward thinking and high achieving training practice within the Upper Valleys cluster of Swansea Bay University Health Board. The practice consists of 4 GP partners, 2 salaried GP’s, Practice Business Manager, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 4 practice nurses, health care support workers and a dedicated team of administrative staff. The practice also employs its own clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician.We are now looking to offer an opportunity for the right candidate to join our team in order to further improve the quality of care offered to our 13,000 strong patient population.As a salaried GP, you will have access to a number of MDT services including Physiotherapists and a Wellbeing Signposting services via the cluster’s Primary Care HUB. We are additionally a research ready PiCRIS accredited practice and an accredited and active training practice.We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our team for 6-8 sessions a week.The post offers:· 6 weeks annual leave pro rata· No weekend or out of hours work· Single site working· Mixed patient demographic with a 13,000 patient list size· Vision computer system· Broad range of Enhanced Services delivered· Competitive salary plus MPS fees· Open to development of new services and special interests· Protected time for CPD in line with BMA recommendationsThe ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, but not essential; English and/ or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
